Definitions

The following document states the ways in which information is collected and used within the company and app of the name “Moneytos”. This document also involves one other party referred to as the “User” which may be any individual that has conducted a singular transaction or a series of transactions that pertain to international remittances sent via the payment methods provided as a service by the aforementioned company. The contents of this document also describe the protection policy pertaining to sensitive information such as the name, national identification number, etc of the user or of their beneficiaries.

Collection of information

 Moneytos collects information that is only relevant to the user and the beneficiary but may also collect or verify this information from government agencies, databases, and third parties that meet the legal requirements. The information collected relevant to the user is as follows;

• The legal name of the user
• Date of birth
• Address
• Email
• Contact number
• Proof of citizenship presented in the form of
  • Passport number
  • Social Security number (For US only)
  • Any other documentation which proves citizenship of the User
  • There will also be information collected in order to verify the source of funds being transferred such as the debit card information of the user, and information relevant to the beneficiary of funds being transferred. The information relevant to the beneficiary may include but is not limited to:
• The legal name of the beneficiary
• Address
• Contact number
• Relationship to the User
• The company will also collect information relevant to the device which is used to transfer the funds or to input the information that is mentioned above. The information that is collected about the device is:
• The IP address of the device
• IMEI number of the device
• Cookies obtained from the device
• Communications sent from the device to Moneytos by the User
• Information regarding the use of app through the aforementioned device

This information is liable to regulations of the relevant countries and may be verified or provided to any government agency which provides a legal precedent or any document such as a court order asking for the information to be handed over.

Use of information

Moneytos reserves the right to maintain and use the information and/or documents provided by the User in accordance with the law, and in order to verify the identities of a member to any and all transactions conducted through the Moneytos website or app. In addition, the information collected through the use of our app or website may be used for the purpose of improving our services including the information provided by the user. This information may also be used to form advertising strategies, whether personalized or for mass advertising unless prohibited by the law of the area relevant to the User.

On the presentation of a court order, or under the instructions of a regulatory authority which is authorized by law, information pertaining to any number of transactions may be disclosed in accordance with legal guidelines. 

Moneytos will not be selling, renting, or disclosing personal information of the User or Beneficiary to any third party unless legally required, such as for banking purposes or regulatory purposes.

Protection of information

The information provided to Moneytos by the User in any way or form will be protected and can only be accessed through our secure servers, which will allow access to employees of Moneytos pertaining to their granted level of access. This access will only be granted for the purpose of business, marketing, and legal regulation. Information pertaining to bank accounts or debit cards will be secured using end-to-end encryption that will prevent the disclosure of sensitive information such as account number and debit card number and password.

Disclaimer: No security method or method of transmission over the internet is fully secured and may be subject to external compromises in security. In the event of which, necessary authorities and affected parties will be notified promptly pertaining to the word of the law. 

Use of cookies and trackers

Moneytos employs the use of cookies to store information regarding devices that log on to our servers. These cookies allow us to recognize a device and remember its set preferences and previous actions in order to help make the future experience of all users more efficient. 

The aforementioned trackers and cookies may also be used to understand the usage patterns and consumer behavior of our users while they are interacting with the app or website. If the user wishes to do so, they may disable certain cookies. This may, however, prevent the app from functioning at full capacity.

Discarding of information

Any information stored on our servers may be removed permanently from our record after a period of up to 5 years of inactivity of the relevant account. In certain cases, information may be maintained if required under law for periods longer than 5 years. 

Changes in the privacy policy

Any and all changes in our privacy policy will be updated through our website and via email notification for any users registered in our database, pertaining they have signed up on our app or website.
